When your customer gets their downloadable file after placing their order, the WooCommerce PDF product voucher is created. Specifically, when the order status is set to ‘complete’ either manually or automatically. To make this happen automatically, select ‘Grant access to downloadable products after payment’ in WooCommerce Settings > Products. If this option is enabled, the pdf voucher will become available once the order has a ‘processing’ status.
The WooCommerce PDF Product voucher is attached to the default WooCommerce order receipt email. The customer can follow the link in this email and download the voucher from their ‘My Account’ page or from the order’s ‘Thank You’ page
What if the customer wants the pdf voucher to go to another person as well?
No problem! If “Recipient Email” is enabled (an option), the customer can provide another email address where the voucher should be sent. This allows the voucher to be sent as a gift.
